Biography
Areeba Aziz Rajput returned to Habib University as Lecturer in the Electrical and Computer Engineering program in July 2025, teaching undergraduate courses across EE, CE, and CS and supervising course projects on FPGAs and Raspberry Pi. Between September 2024 and July 2025, she taught mathematics and engineering courses across T-level, Foundation, HND, and HNC programs at Oaklands College in the UK. Before that, she was a Dean’s Fellow — Pre-Doctoral Fellow and Lecturer — at Habib (2022–2024), teaching Digital Logic Design and Microcontrollers and Interfacing, and serving on the Capstone Committee for robotics- and controls-focused final year projects.
A Fulbright Scholar, Ms. Rajput completed her M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Northeastern University (2020–2022), where she worked at the Northeastern Field Robotics Lab designing a compact visual-inertial odometry rig for underwater ROVs — combining a 12-bit dynamic-range camera and IMU to maintain navigation continuity when visual registration fails in visually compromised environments. During her master’s, she also attended a robotics-focused summer school at the University of Southern Denmark. Before graduate school, she worked at K-Electric (2018–2020), first as a Trainee Engineer and then Assistant Manager in Distribution Strategy & Planning, overseeing transmission-project planning across Karachi.
Ms. Rajput is a registered engineer with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC No. 78940).
