Biography
Dr. Abu Bakr Mehmood has been Assistant Professor in the Department of Integrated Sciences and Mathematics at Habib University since 2024, teaching Mechanics and Thermodynamics, Scientific Methods, Calculus I & II, Linear Algebra, and Renewable Energy.
Before Habib, he was Assistant Professor at the Pak-Austria Fachhochschule: Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology (PAF-IAST), Haripur (2022–2024), teaching Applied Physics. Earlier in his career he was a Teaching Associate in the Department of Physics at LUMS (2010–2014) and, before that, at Foundation University Islamabad (2007–2010), teaching courses spanning Electromagnetic Theory, Differential Equations, and Complex Variables and Transforms.
Dr. Mehmood’s research specializes in mathematical physics — gravitation, cosmology, and modified gravity theories — with publications on non-static fluid solutions and curvature collineations in journals including Results in Physics and the International Journal of Geometric Methods in Modern Physics.
