The Office of the Associate Dean of Teaching and learning is seeking an Assistant Manager to support managing the Centre for Pedagogical Excellence (CPE) at Habib University. The incumbent will manage the overall operations of CPE and all associated teaching and learning activities at Habib University.

The Centre for Pedagogical Excellence at Habib University provides a critical space for reflection on pedagogical practices in Higher Education. The center facilitates the exploration, transformation, and creation of pedagogical practices that stem from Habib’s focus on student centered design. The contractual position invites fresh graduates who have completed Bachelors/Masters in Library and Information Science. Intern will learn and apply practical skills required for academic library operations and techniques. Assistant Manager, Student Recruitment and Admissions, will be responsible for the planning and execution of Habib University’s high school outreach program. The incumbent will be responsible for creating an extensive network of O and SSE level schooling system. This includes the planning and implementing of strategies for engaging with key stakeholders, inclusive of prospective students, parents, counsellors and principals. Additionally, the incumbent will be required to plan and execute a variety of activities, such as representing HU through workshops during admissions season, conducting campus tours, organizing yield events and summer engagements, as well as other relevant activities. The incumbent will devise the student engagement plan to enhance student yield along with assisting regular student recruitment and admissions activities. Manager, Learning Support Services

The incumbent will be responsible to lead one of the most important portfolio of student success i.e., providing learning support to students through Writing Centre and EHSAS Centre (Educational Help, Services and Academic Support Center). Key responsibilities will include designing, implementing and evaluating diverse program to facilitate students to enhance their academic, personal and interpersonal skills essential for success at HU and beyond through workshops, short courses, mentoring, coaching and tutoring.

The Manager will also be responsible for managing all operations of the Writing Center and EHSAS. S/he will be responsible for hiring, training, and supervising writing associates, Ehsas associate undergraduate writing tutors, and peer tutors; supervising EHSAS and Writing Centre Teams; developing EHSAS/ Writing Center policies; overseeing short and long-term planning; conducting outreach to university faculty and the campus at large; promoting EHSAS/Writing Center, and developing and facilitating workshops. Head, Office of Student Life

Head of Office of Student Life (OSL) will be responsible for ensuring the prevalence of a student culture based on comradery, care and integrity. A culture that provides students a mechanism for reflecting on their learning as well as see University life as part of an overall compelling intellectual experience for their personal and professional growth through diverse activities and experiences outside the classroom.

Under the domain of Student Life, the Head will be responsible for leading the portfolios of ‘Student Leadership and Advocacy’, ‘Student Development and Community Building’, ‘Student Health & Wellness’, ‘Student Engagement’ and ‘Student Commute & Residential life’. The incumbent is expected to develop proper programs and activities in the above-mentioned portfolios in collaboration with Student Life team and Student Leadership to enhance students’ experience, promote Student life and ensure effective communication and execution of Student Life Activities. The Head of Student Life will also be responsible to set goals for students’ co-curricula achievements and set-up a framework of tracking, recording and assessing students’ engagement at various levels and in various programs.

In close collaboration with the Office of Academic Performance, Office of Career Services and the Office of Community Values and Standards, the incumbent will also work collaboratively to organize various activities leading to student development and develop a comprehensive student code of ethics and actionable guidelines for student conduct.
