Conference Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled individual to fill the role of Conference Coordinator for a project focused on climate change, conflict, and peace from a feminist perspective. This role entails a variety of responsibilities, including conceptualizing the conference, developing a work plan for communications and engagement, coordinating abstract submissions, supporting logistics, and collaborating with relevant Habib University departments. The primary focus of this conference is to create conversations around the areas of climate change, conflict, and peace from a feminist perspective. The project aims to empower students to produce publishable research papers and host a two-day conference in March 2024, providing a platform to share their findings with policymakers, practitioners, and scholars. The incumbent is responsible to deliver an effective and efficient end-user Audio Visual (AV) day-to-day operations and services for the entire university community in a fast-paced, pressure and high profile educational environment and always ensure optimal performance. Officer, Student Recruitment and Admissions

Officer, Student Recruitment and Admissions will be responsible for assisting with the overall supervision and efficacy of various HUTOPS activities. This includes assisting with the planning and implementing strategies for engaging with local examination board students, parents, counsellors and principals. This will entail supporting with devising a variety of activities, such as representing HU through workshops during admissions season, conducting campus tours, organizing yield events, participating in HUTOPS admissions tests, orientation/information sessions and summer prep session, to name a few. The incumbent will help in devising student engagement plan to enhance student yield along with assisting with HUTOPS activities. Furthermore, the candidate will plan various strategies to engage students through multiple mediums, which will include but not be limited to email, SMS and postal communication. Senior Manager, Graduate School Curation Program.

The Habib University Graduate School Curation Program (GSCP) is a research-oriented learning experience for exceptional undergraduate students at Habib University who are interested in pursuing graduate degrees in their field. The program seeks to provide such students with opportunities, experiences and support to ensure their admission into competitive graduate programs. At the same time, by providing a locally contextualized grounding in research methods and practice, the GSCP prepares students for innovation and success at the world’s leading postgraduate institutions. The program aims to support Habib University’s strategic goal to be an institution of choice for the best students and faculty by serving as a magnet for Pakistan’s most capable and academically exceptional students.

The Senior Manager will provide strategic leadership, programming, and accountability that support student success and co-curricular activities of the program. They will also be responsible for identifying new students for the Program; designing programs and creating events for students that support their success in applying to graduate schools and scholarships; tracking student progress; providing support for internships and placement; working with students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders to coordinate all the activities of the program.

Applicants for this position will demonstrate commitment to academic quality and rigor and to the success of the students in the program, and willingness to enhance the initiative by providing support to the Student Recruitment and Admissions and Resource Development offices. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent will need to understand the University’s philosophy and academic programs. Candidates who show initiative, are self-starters, and are familiar with liberal arts universities and the graduate school application process will be preferred.

Coordinator Dean’s Fellowship Program

The incumbent will be responsible for providing programmatic and administrative support to all aspects of the Dean’s Fellowship Program. The incumbent will work with the Director of the Dean’s Fellowship Program to plan and execute the program activities, and help liaison with Dean’s fellows, their mentors and key university offices in undertaking the annual plan of activities.

The Coordinator will take lead in the recruitment process and onboarding for the Dean’s Fellowship Program under the supervision and with the support of the Office of Academic Operations.

Senior Manager, Academic Operations will be primarily responsible to strategize and manage all the processes related to recruitment and selection of academic positions, including faculty, academic administrators, Global and Dean’s fellows, visiting scholars, and research assistants. Senior Manager, Industrial Relations

The incumbent will be responsible for helping the University in expanding its network of Industry Partners relevant to all of its degree programs for a variety of purposes. The person will also be working with the University Industrial Advisory Board (UIAB)and other industry boards by communicating and coordinating with the Board members, engaging them in all planned activities and developing tools to keep them updated about HU. Control Room Officer (CRO)

The Control Room Officer (CRO) will be mainly positioned for CCTV, fire alarm control panel (FACP) and Security / Safety monitoring & technical troubleshooting & surveillance equipment installation / wiring work in to shift duties (Morning, Evening & Nights) 08 hours to 12 hours. This is not a fixed duty shift Job and rotation is mandatory. He will be mainly accountable to look after the activity of the entire campus both internal and external through electronic equipment surveillance and will identify security, safety and suspicious activities observations to (SMSCR) for further decision and action. The incumbent in the leading role responsible for planning and executing a wide range of events. He/she is required to work with requesters to determine the ideal venue, theme, layout, etc., and he / she will also be in charge of managing all aspects of the event from start to finish. This may also involves meet and greet guests, board members, donors etc.

Through data analysis and strategic insights, the Manager contributes to the university’s efforts in optimizing student success.
