Course Description:
This course will focus on the definition and meaning of theatre, the difference between theatre and other mediums, and highlight the importance and relevance in the age of cinema. During the course, the students will be watching videos of theatre productions, reading some plays, studying ideas of theatre practitioners or critics (Stanislavski, Jerzy Grotowski, Brecht, Peter Brook, Augusto Boal etc.) who have given new meaning to theatre especially in the age of cinema.
