Sajal has been involved with the private education sector since 2006, first in Lahore, briefly in London post her Masters, and in Karachi since 2016. At Habib University, she leads the 2-semester sequence of Calculus courses. She is also Mathematics faculty at Karachi Grammar School, as well as the Coordinator for Cambridge Professional Development Qualifications at KGS, leading the teacher training sessions for the ‘Teaching and Learning’ Certificate and Diploma.

Her degree in education and experience with teacher training has made her passionate about the impact of various pedagogical approaches on student motivation. Consequently, her research interests are focused on understanding the nuances of students’ outlook to the study of Mathematics. She continues to explore and implement a learner-centered approach to teaching in her lessons. Her long-term goal is to impact teacher training in Pakistan at a broader level, liaising with both the private and public sector to generate maximum reach and impact.
