Biography
Dr. Ayesha Enayet has been Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Habib University since January 2024, teaching courses in theoretical computer science and artificial intelligence and supervising undergraduate research teams in international shared-task competitions (SemEval).
She completed her Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Central Florida (2019–2023) as a Graduate Research Assistant with the Implementation Science and Team Effectiveness in Practice (IN STEP) Children’s Mental Health Research Center, contributing to the DARPA-adjacent ASIST project on proactive conflict detection in team communication and the SocialSim project on narrative classification. Before her doctorate, she was Assistant Professor (2018–2019) and, earlier, Lecturer (2015–2018) in the Department of Computer Science at BUITEMS, Quetta, teaching Natural Language Processing, Compiler Construction, and Artificial Intelligence.
Dr. Enayet is a Fulbright Scholar (2018) and was a Best Paper Award Finalist at IEEE ICSC 2021. Her research on generalizable models of team conflict from multiparty dialogue has been published in the International Journal of Semantic Computing and presented at EACL, LREC, and ICSC. At Habib, she continues to supervise undergraduate research teams competing in SemEval workshops on semantic plausibility, food-hazard detection, and narrative extraction.
