Biography

Aatyka has been an ardent student of mathematics which culminated into her passion for teaching the same. During her undergraduate years at IBA, she served as a Teaching Assistant for courses like Calculus I, Stochastic Processes, Applied Probability & College Algebra, while her Final Year Project on Stochastic Processes entailed the prediction of Interregional migration in Pakistan using Markov Chains.

Following her graduation, she briefly worked at The Citizens Foundation for their Program Evaluation & Research Department where she gained exposure to ongoing projects and policies in the educational development sector of Pakistan. Subsequently, she enrolled into MS Mathematics at IBA Karachi where her projects entailed working on prediction of dividend payment of Pakistani corporate firms using statistical and machine learning methods.

She also honed her experience in research by working as a Research Assistant at the Center for Business and Economic Research at IBA. During this period, one of her most notable accomplishments included getting acknowledgment for serving as a Research Coordinator for the book titled ‘The Economy of Modern Sindh’ co-authored by Dr. Ishrat Hussain.
