Biography

Rameez Ragheb is a lecturer in Mathematics. His primary research interest lies in Discrete Mathematics. Discrete Mathematics is an umbrella term for the branches of mathematics that study and deal with discrete structures. These include subjects such as Logic, Set Theory, Graph Theory, Combinatorics, Discrete Probability, Information Theory and Theoretical Computer Science. More recently, he is engaged in the study of Machine Learning algorithms where Discrete Mathematics techniques are utilized in data storage, representation, clustering and classification. At the Habib University, besides his theoretical research, he plans active math engagement with students, guiding and mentoring them in their projects with experimental design and extracting useful data insights. At a broader level, he plans to spread mathematics awareness and education in our society as well as work with the government and public sector in identifying and optimizing workflows which can positively impact us all.
