President’s Chief of Staff & Senior Director, Global Engagement
Tatheer Hamdani serves as the President’s Chief of Staff and Senior Director of Institutional Development & Global Engagement at Habib University. She works closely with the President to drive the university’s strategic vision, overseeing global partnerships, institutional planning, policy development, and cross-departmental coordination.
Tatheer has been associated with Habib University since 2008, playing a pivotal role in shaping its institutional frameworks from the planning phase to its current evolution. She has led the conceptualization and development of critical operational functions, including faculty recruitment, academic development, global partnerships, fundraising systems, online giving platforms, and strategic communication for the Board, internal leadership, and external stakeholders.
She is currently the head of the Office of Institutional Development and Global Engagement (IDGE), where she leads efforts to shape the university’s strategic growth and enhance its global presence. She spearheads the development of intellectual, academic, and operational frameworks, fostering international partnerships and thought leadership. At the helm of IDGE, she drives Habib University’s strategic growth, leveraging global insights to tackle internal challenges and seize opportunities. She also leads the Office of Content Strategy & Publications, supporting the President in shaping institutional narratives that articulate the university’s intellectual mission to diverse stakeholders.
Tatheer holds an MBA from the Institute of Business Management (IoBM), Karachi. Before joining Habib University, she worked at the Sindh Education Foundation, managing international and government-funded initiatives to advance primary and secondary education across Sindh and Pakistan.
Beyond academia, she serves as a board member of Indus Motor Company Ltd., contributing to corporate governance. Her commitment to institutional excellence and student success continues to drive her efforts in advancing Habib University’s impact on higher education.
