You can show your valid University ID card at the time of borrowing and returning items. The books could be taken on loan for particular loan periods. In case of renewal, you have to get it done through the Circulation Desk available. You may reserve a book using the Open Access Catalog after logging in to http://library.habib.edu.pk using a valid user ID and password already assigned to you.
Short Term Borrowing
Course Reserves and Textbooks can be borrowed for a short term (maximum 4-5 hours per day) and should be returned in time. In case of returning the item at a later time, a fine per hour will be charged.
Loan Periods
Number of books could be borrowed as per following.

A fine of Rs. 50 will be charged after the due date (if the material is returned within three days) – after three days, the same amount per day will be charged.
In the case a book or other material is lost, you must report it to the LICS staff immediately to stop overdue fines.
System generated reminders i.e. book check-out, renewal and overdue reminders will be sent to you by the LICS circulation staff.
Kindle Books
LICS also has a collection of E-Books on Amazon Kindle. The books can be read through designated computers available on the first floor.
Tutoring at the EHSAS Center
Reference Services
On both floors, the LICS staff are available for reference assistance during most hours that the library is open. Basic assistance in the use of LICS facilities and in finding and accessing information not owned by the HU Library Information Commons is available at all times.
During business hours, reference services could also be accessed through dialing 7105 and 7112.

HU’s Library Information Commons also organizes workshops and seminars on:

Tutorial sessions/classes are organized by the EHSAS center to improve English language writing skills, mathematical reasoning etc.
