Front Desk Officer
Front Desk Officer will be responsible for smooth coordination between employees and external people, answering and referring queries, receiving letters, maintaining logs, attending and welcoming guests and providing relevant assistance to them.
Officer, Student Marketing and Recruitment
The incumbent will be responsible for the planning and implementation of strategy in order to reach out to potential Habib University Students, for the assigned group of schools. S/he will be part of designing and executing a variety of activities including school specific communication, school visits, organizing and attending education expos, conducting student workshops and parents’ sessions in order to facilitate relationship building and raise awareness about the university. S/he will also be involved in devising various other plans to engage students in order to give them insight about the university. S/he will also be responsible for creating and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders of the assigned schools.
The position invites fresh graduates or final year students doing Masters in Library and Information Science. They will learn and apply practical skills required for academic library operations and techniques. The skills include cataloging and classification of books, preparing books for shelves, marc data entry, library operations/circulation, shelving, stock taking, library online access catalog, digital repositories, data/meta data management etc. This on the job training will also include short sessions on essential library skills and requirements for 21st century library skills and knowledge including social media management, digital curation skills, library programming etc.
The counselor will provide specialized individual and group career counseling to assist students in developing the skills and competencies required for their career interest or field of study. He/she will guide the students and inform them about opportunities related to their career goals, employment, and graduate studies. The counselor will liaise and work collaboratively with faculty and staff to assist with the development of career resources for students. The position requires flexibility with schedule and ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Coordinator, Careers & Placements
The individual will be responsible for liaising with corporate and development sector organizations, as well as government bodies for recruitment drives for student internships and employment. He/she will also connect with consultants and institutions to conduct info sessions for graduate school placements. He/she will be responsible for developing and assessing career services programs, will lead on events, and will develop long‐term relationships with key stakeholders. The coordinator will work collaboratively with faculty, staff and employers, and assist with the development of career resources for students. As the University moves toward the graduation of its first cohort of students, the individual will support, advise, and facilitate students in planning and achieving career success by
offering a variety of services to meet their career planning needs. The position asks for flexibility with schedule and ability to work evenings and weekends as and when needed.
Instructors for SPLASH (Summer Program for Language Arts, Sciences, and
SPLASH Instructors will provide classroom instruction for university level writing, Maths, Physics, Computer Science and/or Urdu for incoming first‐year students at Habib University. This role will require the individual to develop level‐appropriate lesson plans, instruct students from a variety of diverse backgrounds, and prepare students for their first semester as a student at Habib University in Karachi, Pakistan.
Education Management Information System (EMIS) Officer
The Education Management Information System (EMIS) officer will support the Office of Institutional Research in the development and management of integrated database for the University, data processing, and data analysis.
Program Assistant, Academic Performance
The Program Assistant, Academic Performance will assist with the day‐to‐day operations of the Office of Academic Performance by supporting the Director and Assistant Director with advising, data management, and program support.
Mathematics Instructor for HU TOPS Summer Prep Program
Habib University will offer a month long summer prep program to the applicants of HU TOPS. HU TOPS applicants belong to the Board of Intermediate Examination, Federal Board and Aga Khan University Examination Board and are currently studying in Intermediate Part II. The Mathematics instructor for the HU TOPS Summer Prep Program will be responsible for developing a month long program to prepare students for the Advanced Mathematics test for admission into the School of Science and Engineering. The Advanced Mathematics test focuses on HSSC and SSC (Intermediate and Matriculation level) mathematics topics. The instructor will also be responsible for conducting the classes as well as assessing student performance on an on‐going basis.
English language Instructor for HU TOPS Summer Prep Program
Habib University will offer a month long summer prep program to the applicants of HU TOPS. HU TOPS applicants belong to the Board of Intermediate Examination, Federal Board and Aga Khan University Examination Board and are currently studying in Intermediate Part II. The English language instructor for the HU TOPS Summer Prep Program will be responsible for developing a month long program to prepare students for the English component of HU Common Entrance Examination which include English reading comprehension, English Grammar and Essay writing. The instructor will also be responsible for conducting the classes as well as assessing student performance on an on‐going basis.
Manager/ Senior Manager Student Finance
The Manager/ Senior Manager Student Finance oversees the administration of student finance, need based aid, and merit based scholarships as sponsored by Habib University in close coordination with Admissions Department and Registrar Office. The purpose of this position is to oversee the design, planning, development and evaluation of Habib University’s vital student support programs. This position is responsible for leading and managing a dynamic team in implementing strategy and achieving the desired outcomes by dealing with students and managing complete financial aid and scholarship portfolios.
Director, Center for Pedagogical Excellence
The Director will support and advance faculty in their roles as excellent teachers, active scholars, and engaged mentors in a student‐centered environment. Drawing on research and best practices, the director will offer innovative pedagogical programming; coordinate professional development services for faculty at all stages of their careers; and situate the center as a leader in pedagogical innovation among top tier universities and liberal arts colleges, with Yohsin as a core principle of teaching excellence.
Director, Student Life
This position provides leadership to Office of Student Life to create and enhance a vibrant campus community where transformative student learning occurs beyond the classroom. The Office of Student Life provides strong educational, social, and leadership development oriented co‐curricular programs and activities to complement student learning in the realm of the Liberal Arts education at Habib University. The goal of the office of Student Life is to help create a community in which student actions validate the true principles of the Yohsin philosophy: striving for Excellence; appreciating Beauty; nurturing Passion; Respecting others; and Serving the community around us.
Manager, Educational Help, Services and Academic Support Center
Manager, Educational Help, Services and Academic Support Center will be responsible for overseeing the department’s daily operations, managing professional Full Time and student Part Time staff, and developing supplementary programs that support student academic growth and achievement at the tertiary level.
Campus Safety Officer
Campus Safety Officer (CSO) will look after internal safety and security surveillance functions. He will
report to Manager Safety & Control Room. The role requires shift rotation duty from Monday to
Saturday from 08:00am to 04:00pm or 12:00pm to 08:00pm.
The tennis coach will be required to provide training, counseling and coaching to students as well as encourage them to participate in various tennis tournaments. He/she will also train and help students in improving their physical, social and intellectual behavior.
Assistant Manager, Student Marketing & Recruitment
Assistant Manager, Student Marketing and Recruitment will be responsible for planning and implementing strategy for reaching out to potential Habib University Students and applicants. S/he will be part of designing and executing variety of activities including school visits, organizing expos, attending expos, conducting student workshops and parents’ sessions to facilitate relationship building and promote awareness. The incumbent will be responsible for devising and execution of the communication plan for the applicants. S/he will be required to take care of the logistical handling of the recruitment communication tools.
