Senior Manager, Institutional Research

Office of Institutional Research (IR) is responsible for generating information and analysis required for effective decision making about Habib University’s policy and program development and implementation. OIR closely works with academic and administrative units of HU to collect, collate and analyze information for institutional effectiveness.
In this role, the candidate will be responsible for research and analysis of internal and external data for projects including benchmarking and competitor tracking, identifying key trends related to higher education and student success. Moreover, creating mechanisms for historical trend’s analysis, data
warehousing and big data analytics will be required.

Academic Advisor

Academic advising is the process through which Habib University provides the necessary resources for students to make good choices. The primary purpose of academic advising is to assist students as they develop meaningful educational plans compatible with their life goals. The role of the Academic Advisors is to engage the student in integrated advising (prescriptive, developmental, and appreciate). Although the curriculum is well defined, there will be opportunities, both within and beyond curricular constraints, for students to participate in courses and activities that support their academic and personal development. They will ensure that the student is on the right trajectory towards completion

Manager, Community Standards

The incumbent is primarily responsible to coordinate disciplinary hearings, maintain disciplinary records and oversee the selection and training of judicial bodies- student Advocacy Committee, and Community Adjudication Board.
He/She will help build communities that are respectful of diversity and understand the ethics, norms and values at Habib University and adhere to them
The position requires an individual who is flexible enough to assume a variety of roles as dictated by the changing needs of students. It is crucial that the individual be able to relate well to others and handle administrative responsibilities. He/she will also actively assist with other programs, events, and services administered through the Office of Student Life/Affairs and will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of Student Life programs and events.
The Office of Student Conduct aims at incorporating the philosophy of promoting student development while upholding the conduct standards; awareness of global empathy related to student rights and responsibilities, restorative justice, conflict management, writing goals and objectives, and conducting assessments, to help students make informed decisions in their Yohsin experience. The office also strives to instill the Yohsin attributes in students through various programs.

Senior Officer, Student Affairs

The incumbent will act as the focal person for student clubs and societies and assist the Club Leaders pertaining to the smooth execution of their events with a clear sense of purpose as well as support/coordinate the daily Student Life office administrative tasks and is responsible for ensuring compliance and accuracy within daily operations.
He/She will help the Manager to support student leaders in the area of leadership development, service learning, campus involvement, student engagement, event planning, university student policies, and will help students with student transport need, general facilitation and fiscal operations.
This position requires the skill-set to work with understanding, delicacy, and diplomacy while interacting with the student bodies-Clubs/org, Student Senate, management and other University officials.
The Office of Student Life promotes critical thinking, civic participation, discussion, debate, and awareness of public issues from a variety of perspectives, initiatives and viewpoints. The office/facilitates campus-wide events, gatherings, conferences, and educational forums that train students in organizing, and student advocacy; making it easy for students to get involved by creating clear pathways and to take a leading role in the process. We believe these opportunities enhance the learning environment on campus and help students obtain valuable lifelong skills.

Career Relations Officer

The individual will be responsible for connecting, liaising, and building partnerships with corporate and development sector organizations, and government bodies to promote HU students to prospective employers. This position will require the candidate to make visits to a number of diverse organizations, and
develop linkages and partnerships for career-related events, prospective internships and jobs, and collaborations for training and mentoring of students. He/she is responsible for developing long-term relationships with key organizations. He/she will also connect with consultants and institutions to conduct info sessions for graduate school placements. He/she will facilitate the Career Services team in coordinating with organizations and institutions for events and meetings. The position asks for flexibility with schedule and ability to work evenings and weekends as and when needed.

Career Counselor/ Trainer

The counselor/trainer will provide specialized individual and group career counseling to assist students in developing the skills and competencies required for their career interest or field of study. He/she will guide the students and inform them about opportunities related to their career goals, employment, and graduate studies. The candidate will also assist the HOD in developing and conducting skill development programs and workshops to help students in their career development. The counselor/trainer will liaise and work collaboratively with faculty and staff to assist with the development of career resources for students. The position requires flexibility with schedule and ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Furthermore, the candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing and synthesizing the data related to students’ academic and career choices and for Higher Education. They will be responsible for surveying students’ perceptions to evaluate effectiveness of the individual strategies and overall recruitment campaign.
