Habib University is seeking applicants for the following positions:
Assistant Manager, EHSAS
The incumbent shall assist with the day-to-day operations of EHSAS (Educational Help, Services and Academic Support Center) by supporting the Manager with programmatic support, data management, and scheduling.
Deputy Manager, Institutional Research
Office of Institutional Research (IR) is responsible for generating information and analysis required for effective decision making about Habib University’s policy and program development and implementation. OIR closely works with academic and administrative units of HU to collect, collate and analyze information for institutional effectiveness.
The Sports Coach will be required to help people participating in sports to work towards achieving their full potential. He will be responsible to support the students, working with them closely to improve performance. He will also have a role in encouraging under-represented students to participate in sporting activities.
Intern – Student Finance
The incumbent will be responsible to assist Deputy Manager, Student Finance in segregation and compilation of heap of old documents and preparation of detailed report on those documents.
The Playground Coordinator will provide administrative assistance to the Director and Assistant Director in tasks related to the running, planning, and promotion of the Playground, Centre for Transdisciplinarity, Design & Innovation at Habib University.
Assistant Manager, Human Resources
The incumbent will assist with the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties. He/She will also carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: departmental development, HRIS, recruitment, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organization development, executive administration, and payroll.
Management Trainee Officer, Human Resources
The incumbent will assist with the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties. He/She will also carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: departmental development, recruitment, employee relations, training and development and executive administration.
Junior Security Officer (Female)
The incumbent will be responsible to ensure physical screening/searching of all females visiting Habib University and providing assistance to Security Officer in routine functions.
Assistant Manager, Statistical Data Management and Analysis
The incumbent will be required to work with the Office of Admissions and be responsible for conducting statistical analysis of admission data by developing analysis protocols, cleaning, compiling and organizing data, managing databases, analyzing data using advance excel as well as specialized statistical computer programs, and presenting analysis results in numerical, descriptive and graphic formats.
Program Assistant, Center for Pedagogical Excellence (CPE)
The Program Assistant will assist with the day-to-day operations of the Center for Pedagogical Excellence by supporting the Director with programmatic support, data management, and scheduling.
Intern – Circulation and Technical Services
The position invites fresh graduates an opportunity to work in the library. Intern will learn and apply practical skills required for academic library operations and techniques. The skills include cataloging and classification of books, preparing books for shelves, marc data entry, library operations/circulation, shelving, stock taking, library online access catalog and digital repositories data/meta data management etc.
Intern – Information Commons and Makerspace
The position invites creative geeks to support learning information commons and maker space in the library. The intern will be learning creative ideas for maker space using different tools including Library’s maker resources and equipment, for example: 3D printers, vinyl cutters, Arduino, as well as low-tech tools. The intern will be assisting students in piloting, testing and accomplishing different projects. S/he will also be responsible for customer service orientation, planning and conducting maker programming sessions and promoting maker resources and services.
The videographer/photographer will be responsible to conceptualize, direct, shoot, edit and post-edit short promotional films for online platforms using a combination of photographic skills proven expertise. The videographer/photographer will work as a specialized, creative member of the Marketing & Communications team to produce high-quality video content showcasing academics, student life and facilities at Habib University. The role has the potential to grow towards working on longer corporate films for the university.
Manager, Film Studio (Part-time)
The incumbent will be expected to work at least three days a week and shall be responsible to manage the film studio with regards to equipment management, maintenance and improvements. S/he will also be responsible to handle and taking care of inventory with utmost precision. The incumbent will be required to assist/aid students with their assignments and their projects related to film studio. S/he will also be involved in generating, drafting and execution of Standard Operating Procedure for the Film Studio.
Academic advising is the process through which Habib University provides the necessary resources for students to make good choices. The primary purpose of academic advising is to assist students as they develop meaningful educational plans compatible with their life goals. The role of the Academic Advisors is to engage the student in integrated advising (prescriptive, developmental, and appreciate). Although the curriculum is well defined, there will be opportunities, both within and beyond curricular constraints, for students to participate in courses and activities that support their academic and personal development. They will ensure that the student is on the right trajectory towards completion.
Senior Tutor – Integrated Sciences
Incumbent will be an integrated science tutor working in the Educational Help, Services and Academic Support (EHSAS) Center at Habib University. He/she will tutor students individually and in small groups across all majors (specifically Electrical Engineering & Computer Science). He/she should be familiar with two or more of the following subjects: biology, chemistry, computer science, physics, pre-calculus, calculus, and linear algebra. An integrated science tutor must be able to respond quickly and efficiently to the needs of all students of every skill level. Tutors are responsible for assisting students in targeted subjects via individual or group tutoring. Provides professional, effective and efficient customer service to students. The incumbent will also conduct test review sessions.
Manager, Campus Community Development
The Manager for Campus Community Development will be responsible for developing a safe and welcoming campus environment for student success based on the Yohsin principles of service, respect, passion, beauty and excellence. The Manager will provide a leadership role in the development and implementation of university-wide policies, procedures, trainings and education related to student conduct. S/he will also be responsible for managing and maintaining student conduct issues.
Gym Instructor (Male)
The Gym Instructor will a part of campus recreation center. His job will be to take care of the gym, guiding the stakeholders in proper co-ordination in terms of exercise and machine usage.
The tennis coach will be required to provide training, counseling and coaching to students as well as encourage them to participate in various tennis tournaments. He/she will also train and help students in improving their physical, social and intellectual behavior.
Assistant Manager, Student Marketing & Recruitment
Assistant Manager, Student Marketing and Recruitment will be responsible for planning and implementing strategy for reaching out to potential Habib University Students and applicants. S/he will be part of designing and executing variety of activities including school visits, organizing expos, attending expos, conducting student workshops and parents’ sessions to facilitate relationship building and promote awareness. The incumbent will be responsible for devising and execution of the communication plan for the applicants. S/he will be required to take care of the logistical handling of the recruitment communication tools.
