Biography:
Anum Ijaz is an accomplished dental surgeon and public health professional with a strong background in both clinical practice and research. After earning her BDS from Al-Farabi Dental College, where she graduated with top honors, Anum pursued her passion for global health at the University of Illinois Chicago, where she icompleted her MPH on a Fulbright Scholarship. Her career is marked by a dedication to improving oral health through education, research, and advocacy, particularly in underserved communities. She was also honored with the Douglas Award for essay writing on the theme of Oral Health & Senescence, titled “The Link Between Oral Health and Aging-related Diseases: A Review.”

- Ongoing research projects include studies on plastic waste production in dental practices and a situation analysis of the oral health sector in the WHO Eastern Mediterranean Region.
