Research and Development

R&D in the Physics lab is driven by the realization that Pakistan as a country and society is largely technology consumer and we lag behind as technology developers. We want to see this changed! It is also the one of the fundamental reasons that Pakistan lags behind in experimental Sciences. Keeping this vision in mind we encourage the students to use their creativity and curiosity to dive deeper into the experiments and better understand the behavior of the apparatus and its application in engineering. We encourage students to get involved in various projects with the faculty or, better yet, design a project of their own and be guided by the faculty how they can go about doing it. We encourage our students to openly question the approach of senior faculty and design their own approach to solve a given problem.
