This course prepares students to design small, action-oriented pilot interventions that can be implemented during their practicum or in other professional settings. Over the course of the semester, students move from identifying a focused, context-specific social or policy problem to creating an execution-ready pilot package that includes a concept note, stakeholder and context analysis, partnership and communication strategy, detailed implementation plan, and a monitoring, evaluation, and learning framework. Emphasizing feasibility, ethics, and collaboration with prospective partner organizations, the course builds practical skills in project planning, stakeholder engagement, and reflective professional practice. By the end of the course, students will have a coherent, realistic pilot intervention that can directly inform their SDP practicum or serve as a foundation for future execution-oriented roles in the social sector.
