Biography

Tauqeer Saleem is a Fulbright Scholar and graduate student in Data Science (Applied Data Science) at Indiana University Bloomington. His research interests intersect machine learning, computational social science, and financial analytics, with applications in predictive modeling, natural language processing, and data-driven decision-making.

He holds a B.Sc. in Management Science from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), where he worked extensively on data analysis and research projects focusing on economic modeling and behavioral analysis.

Tauqeer has contributed as a Research and Teaching Assistant in both the Luddy School of Informatics and the Kelley School of Business, where he has worked on developing deep learning-based trading strategies, taught machine learning concepts, and mentored students in implementing applied AI solutions. His experience also spans public policy research, survey design, and building data visualization dashboards for organizations such as the Center for Economic Research Pakistan and the Government of Gilgit Baltistan.

He has been a finalist at multiple startup competitions including the 2025 Vernon CLAPP Ideas and 2025 Cheng Wu Innovation Contest. His recent academic work includes AI-driven models for financial market prediction, text and sentiment analysis for social media data, and cognitively transformer-based models for speech.
