Biography
Asad Tariq is a Master’s student in Computational Social Science at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), where he maintains a 4.0 GPA and focuses on agent-based modeling, social simulations, and computational modeling of networks and collective behavior. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Habib University, Pakistan, where he graduated with distinction (CGPA 3.92) and earned multiple academic honors, including the Dean’s List and President’s List.
His academic and research pursuits bridge computer science and social science, leveraging tools like NetLogo, Neo4j, and Python to study social networks, water resource management, and kinship networks. Asad has experience in teaching and research assistance, having contributed to projects on graph data science, compiler design, and social network analysis.
In addition to academic research, Asad has worked on real-world applications, including reforming a mobile application for Kashif Iqbal Thalassemia Care Center and designing simulations for urban water crises.
