Biography
Asad Tariq is a Fulbright alumnus (2024 cohort) and has a Master’s degree in Computational Social Science from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), where he maintained a 4.0 CGPA. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics from Habib University, Pakistan, where he graduated with distinction (CGPA 3.92) and earned multiple academic honors, including the Dean’s List and President’s List.
His interests lie in the field of agent-based modeling, social simulations, game theory and the computational modeling of social networks. By leveraging tools like NetLogo, Neo4j, and Python, he studies various social networks, including kinship networks and friendship networks. Asad has experience in teaching and research assistantship, having served as a Research Assistant in the Computer Science department at Habib University where he contributed to projects on graph data science and social network analysis.

Developed an agent-based simulation model to study social tie formation in marriage networks. - VirtYou: Digital Twin for Facility Management (Capstone Project)
Designed a real-time monitoring system using IoT and simulation for facility management.
