Bio-Mechatronics exemplifies Habib University’s interdisciplinary approach by integrating engineering with biology, ethics, and human-centered design. The course enables DSSE students to apply control systems, signal processing, sensor fusion, and pattern recognition to address Pakistan’s critical need for affordable assistive devices, while developing competencies in design thinking, systems integration, and ethical engineering. Students gain R&D exposure through hands-on projects, may explore career pathways in the rapidly growing global biomechatronics market, and learn to create technologies that restore dignity and independence, preparing them to be ethical innovators who balance technical excellence with social responsibility.
