This course aims to introduce Communication Systems-related hands-on labs to EE Juniors. The first part of the course will comprise Analog communication systems, Analog to Digital (A2D) and Digital to Analog ( D2A) conversion-related experiments while the second part will focus on Digital communication systems. The labs designed for this course will help students to understand the concept of signal transmission and reception, model and design different Modulation schemes, and investigate techniques for A2D and D2A conversion processes using diverse environments like MATLAB/Simulink, discrete components & communication trainer platform. There will be dedicated labs related to the Software Defined Radios ( SDR) for students to have hands-on experience with different configuration and application settings.
