Chairman, Board of Governors, Habib University
Mr. Mohomed Bashir is the Chairman of the Board of Governors of Habib University. A highly successful and respected entrepreneur, he is also Chairman of Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Limited, from the time he joined the Board in 1982. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK, he brings extensive experience in commerce and industry.
He also serves on several boards, including Habib Metropolitan Bank, Gul Ahmed Energy, and Ideas (Private) Limited. Mr. Bashir has held key national and international leadership roles, including President of the International Cotton Association and President of the International Textile Manufacturers Federation. In recognition of his contributions, he has received the Sitara-e-Imtiaz, France’s National Order of Merit, and Sweden’s Order of the Northern Star.
