This lab course aims to provide students with practical, hands-on experience in both DC and AC electromechanical systems. The curriculum covers a variety of key topics, including single phase and three-phase transformers, the general structure and physical principles of electric drive systems, and various types of electrical machines such as DC motors, DC generators, and both induction and synchronous AC motors and generators.
Students will delve into the output characteristics of these electrical machines. To facilitate learning, the course incorporates mathematical modeling and the use of LabVolt trainers. These tools will enable students to experiment with different types of electrical machines in various configurations and under varying load conditions, offering a comprehensive understanding of their operation and performance.
