Studying human social behavior warrants an interdisciplinary perspective, and thus, it is becoming increasingly important to understand the transient dynamics of networks in which human society is embedded. We cover topics from the foundation of network science, game theory, and computational social choice focusing on systems that exhibit collective behavior, helping us to understand human social behavior from a theoretical and an applied lens.
