This course introduces students to the principles, technologies, and integration of renewable energy systems within the broader context of global energy demand and sustainability. It covers the fundamentals of major renewable energy sources including solar, wind, hydro, biomass, ocean, geothermal, and nuclear. Students will explore system design, modeling, and performance analysis of photovoltaic and wind systems, as well as key aspects of energy storage technologies and grid integration. Emphasis is placed on technical components such as power electronics, system protection, and inverter control, along with discussions on energy markets, smart grids, and grid stability. By the end of the course, students will be equipped to evaluate and design renewable energy systems suitable for a variety of applications.
