The Global Classroom Connect series was launched in Spring 2015 with a virtual conference that paired HU Faculty Dr. Sahar Shafqat’s class on Nationalism and Ethnic Conflict with a Peace and Conflict Studies class at the University of Kurdistan-Hewler in Erbil, Iraq. Students held a virtual conference titled “Ethnic Conflict in Kurdistan and Pakistan: A Comparative Analysis.
