This course introduces students to the core ideas behind feedback control: how to measure a system’s output, compare it with a desired target, and use the difference to adjust the system’s behaviour. Feedback is at work in cruise control, drones, power converters, robotic arms and chemical plants, and the course aims to give students the tools to model, analyse and design such systems with confidence.
