The Minor in Music Practicum is a one-credit, semester-long engagement offered through the Centre for South Asian Music at the Khawaja Mashooqullah Music Room. The practicum is designed to provide students with sustained, structured instruction in a chosen South Asian musical discipline in Tabla, Sitar, Khayal Gayeki, or Violin, under the guidance of a Ustad.nStudents are expected to attend one 50-minute tutorial per week with their assigned Ustad and dedicate 2 hours per week to independent practice. The practicum aims to cultivate disciplined learning, technical skill, and artistic growth over three consecutive semesters.
