This course is designed specifically for AHSS students (SDP, CND and CH), shifting the focus from abstract mathematical formulas and mechanical derivation to the practical, real-world application of data. Students will learn how to see human experiences, social issues, and behavioral patterns as measurable data and how does such data map on to pervasive social issues. By emphasizing data literacy and hands-on analysis over dense mathematical derivations, this course equips students with the foundational quantitative skills necessary to critique, interpret, and conduct meaningful social research applicable across knowledge domains of SDP, CND and CH.
