This course fulfils the requirement for the newly designated HLC/GenEd Foundational Economics component. It provides students across all programs with a rigorous conceptual introduction to capitalism as a social formation, preparing them for more advanced disciplinary work while meeting the liberal core’s goals of historical understanding, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary inquiry.
