This course is based on the study of different nature-inspired computational methods. During the course, students will learn different computational techniques that take inspirations from natural/biological systems. Students will gain hands-on experience of applying these techniques to solve complex optimization problems. The specific topics include Evolutionary computation, Swarm Intelligence, Artificial Neural Networks, Cellular Automata, and Fuzzy logic.
