The Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid at Habib University offers diverse solutions to the financial constraints of our students based on both merit and need. The uniqueness of Habib University’s Scholarship and Financial Aid Program is in its ability to meet the needs of our admitted students and offer individualized scholarships and financial aid packages as per their merit, need, and circumstances.

To ensure equal opportunities for all prospective students irrespective of their religious, ethnic, racial, gender or socio-economic background, Habib University offers unmatched scholarships to students, to acknowledge their achievements thus far, so that they can pursue their four-year degree program at the University.
Based on the candidate’s admission score, they may receive one of our renewable scholarships in recognition of their strong academic achievements. Entrance scholarships are granted between 20% & 100%, depending on your merit score.
For International Examination Board Applicants, Habib University offers three these types of Scholarships

Habib YOHSIN Scholarship
These are 100% scholarships available, on tuition & laboratory and/or studio fees, for exceptionally well-rounded and highly meritorious students. At Habib University, being a distinguished YOHSIN scholar is the highest honor for incoming students.

Habib Excellence Scholarship
These undergraduate scholarships cover 60% to 80% of tuition & laboratory and/or studio fees of the recipients.

Habib Merit Scholarship
These scholarships cover up to 50% of tuition & laboratory and/or studio fees of the recipients.
For National Examination Board Applicants, Habib University offers these types of Scholarships:

Habib University’s Talent Outreach, Promotion and Support (HUTOPS)
Students with HU TOPS scholarship are awarded 100% financial support for the duration of the four-year undergraduate program of their choice at Habib University.

Habib University Equal Opportunity Program Scholarship (HUEOPS)
Students with HU EOP scholarship can be awarded up to 80% financial support.
How are Scholarships Determined?
The Scholarships awarded by Habib University at the time of admissions are not determined just on the basis of High School Grades. Key factors that contribute in determining the eligibility of students for the Scholarship include the following:

- Grades obtained in secondary/higher secondary schools
- Performance in Habib University’s Entrance Examination/SAT Scores
- Communication skills including writing
- Interview scores
- Meta-curricular scores

Maintaining the Required CGPA
All undergraduate scholarships for Pakistani students are automatically renewed each semester up to a total of four years of study, however in order to maintain or continue receiving the Scholarship students must make sure that the provided the conditions listed below are met:

- The student stays enrolled as a full-time student unless the university has approved part-time enrollment.
- The student maintains a minimum cumulative GPA (CGPA):
- 3.5 for the YOHISN scholarship
- 3.0 for the Habib Excellence Scholarship
- 2.75 for the Habib Merit Scholarships
- 3.0 for the HU TOPS Scholarship
- 3.0 for the HU EOP Scholarship
- The student is in good conduct standing and has not violated any conduct policy.

We trust the capabilities of all our students and realize that they can meet their academic endeavors in a variety of ways. Habib University’s Office of Academic Performance, Writing Centre and EHSAS Centre provide remedial support to students in overcoming their academic problems. Academic Advisors provide one-on-one guidance to students in different areas.
In case students are unable to maintain the required CGPA, their scholarships will not be withdrawn immediately. They will be provided a probationary semester to improve their performance and achieve the required CGPA.

Award of Scholarship for Admitted/Existing Students
These Scholarships, if eligible, are only awarded at the time of Admission and cannot be awarded after an applicant has accepted admission. However, during the course of studies, students may become eligible for semester-based scholarships based on academic performance, specifically, the High Academic Achievement Scholarship and the High Academic Leap Scholarship. Each of these scholarships is equivalent upto 10% of the tuition fee for the applicable semester, where applicable.
Habib University’s financial Aid program offers generous grants and facilitation to acquire student loans. The Financial Aid Program aims to ensure equal opportunities for all. In addition to applying for scholarships, students may simultaneously apply for financial aid. The amount of financial aid awarded depends on the needs of the students. Habib University offers a personalized financial aid plan to each admitted student as per their specific needs and the overall circumstances
Grants
These Grants are awarded based on the financial need assessed through the financial aid application at the time of admission. Grants are subject to an annual review of a student’s financial circumstances and do not need to be repaid. A grant is not a loan.
Maintaining the Required CGPA
Financial Aid is automatically renewed each semester up to a total of four years of study, however in order to maintain or continue receiving the Financial Aid students must make sure that the conditions listed below are met:
- Enrollment as a full-time student, unless the University has approved part-time enrollment
- Maintaining a minimum CGPA of 2.33 every semester
- Maintaining good conduct standing and following the University’s established code of conduct
Grant of Financial Aid for Admitted/Existing Students
In case a student or their parent/guardian experiences a significant change in their financial circumstances that adversely affects their ability to pay the University fees, the student may contact Office of Student Finance and apply for an Annual Financial Aid Review.
Facilitation for Student Loans in Pakistan
As part of our financial aid program, the students & their families can also opt to be financially assisted through student loans. The loans will be governed by the rules and regulations of the institution offering the student loan in Pakistan. Details are shared with the student and parents while finalizing their fee package at the time of admission.

Student Employment
While not a formal part of a student’s financial aid package, the Student Employment Portal – Habib University allows students to earn while they learn by working on campus for an agreed period and receiving an hourly wage.
This program offers students a valuable professional learning experience, helping them:
- Build time management and work ethics
- Enhance technical and interpersonal skills
- Gain exposure to real workplace dynamics
Employment opportunities include roles such as Teaching Assistant, Peer Tutor, Library Assistant, Research or Administrative Support, and assisting departments like MARCOM, Admissions, and others.
Students become eligible from Semester II, provided they maintain satisfactory academic performance — a minimum CGPA of 2.33 for regular positions and 3.0 for Teaching Assistant or Peer Tutor roles.
