Assistant/Deputy Manager, Research Grants Administration

This is a key position in the Office of Research that involves exploring, inviting, managing, and processing all research activities at Habib University. Assistant/Deputy Manager, Office of Research be the principal liaison for HU community with internal and external stakeholders for successful realization of Habib University’s faculty research projects. The role includes identifying external grant opportunities relevant to the institution and its faculty, administration of both internal and external grants, and requires knowledge/experience of engaging with external funding agencies and ensuring all guidelines are followed for the utilization of grants whether it is pertaining to financial expenditure and reporting, procurement and human resources.

The ‘Portfolio Lead’ will manage the Health and Wellness portfolio of the Office of Student Life; S/he will be responsible for promoting and enhancing the health and well-being of students by designing a variety of programs and activities to promote physical, mental, social and personal health and wellbeing of students. The Lead will also be responsible for managing the use and upkeep of Health and Wellness facilities such as Gym, swimming pool, clinics, sports courts etc.

Deputy Manager, Graduate School Curation Program

About the Program: The Habib University Graduate School Curation Program (GSCP) is a preparatory program for undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing graduate degrees with an impactful research journey. The program seeks to provide such students with opportunities, experiences, and support to ensure their admission into competitive graduate programs. At the same time, by providing a locally contextualized grounding in research methods and practice, the GSCP prepares students for innovation and success at the world’s leading postgraduate institutions. We aspire that this program, besides student success, will help attract the brightest students to Habib university.

About the Position: The Deputy Manager will focus on programming and data management for the department. They will be responsible for conducting thorough needs assessment, helping develop programs based on identified priorities, tracking participation, and systematically evaluating the efficacy of the programs. In addition, a key responsibility will be to maintain a database for all current and former students and track their journeys at Habib University and beyond. For this, they will work closely with relevant offices and engage with students in collecting the most updated data. They will also conduct various analyses to better understand usage and assist in tailoring the programs based on those findings.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program development, monitoring and evaluation, and data analysis, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Coordinator for Center for South Asian Music and Academic Centers

The Shared Coordinator is responsible for supporting and coordinating two program units:
a) Academic Centers
b) Centre for South Asian Music

For the Music Centre, the Coordinator will manage relationships, partnerships, event facilitation, and communication. They will also address student needs related to the practice component and provide program-related guidance. Other responsibilities include administrative and professional support, responding to inquiries via telephone, email, and in person, maintaining positive and effective external relations, and supporting the Music Minor Program and the Music Room. For the Academic Centers, the Coordinator will assist the Manager, Academic Centers, in organizing events and performing various administrative tasks.
