Isbah’s journey as a HUTOPS scholar, to gaining admission to one of the world’s top universities, is a testament to Habib University’s emphasis on nurturing student success through rigorous academic programs, personalized mentorship, and a supportive learning environment that empowers students to achieve their highest potential. Isbah highlights her time spent in classrooms and the enriching coursework that helped uncover her passions for urban planning. Isbah is eager to learn how city planning can be leveraged to better adapt to the climate crisis in Pakistan. Anzal Abbas Jafri (Social Development and Policy, 2021): Begins Master’s in Health and International Development at the London School of Economics
Anzal has made significant contributions to the field of social development and public health. He has actively monitored and evaluated SRHR youth projects across the provinces of Sindh and Punjab at the community level. Moreover, Anzal has played a pivotal role in coordinating national-level initiatives, including PAK-SEHAT, a comprehensive cardiovascular disease research study, Rabies Free Pakistan, a public-private project focused on eradicating rabies, and various research studies on maternal health and child marriage. Driven by his commitment to youth empowerment and improving their welfare in Pakistan, Anzal founded Bagh-e-Sakina, a social enterprise aimed at enhancing the living standards of children and youth through innovative social programs.
Hanaa Hashim Gatta (Communication and Design ’2022): Pursuing Information Technology at Herriot-Watt University
