Project Title
CampusEye
Description
CampusEye is an indoor navigation system designed for environments without the need for additional infrastructure. Using Wi-Fi signal strengths (RSSI), SSID/BSSID data, step counts, and directional sensors from Android devices, it localizes users accurately within buildings. The project aims to provide seamless navigation for students, staff, and visitors, reducing time lost finding rooms or facilities. The purpose of CampusEye is to create a low-cost, scalable solution for indoor pathfinding that can integrate with existing campus apps. Our findings show that combining Wi-Fi anchoring with step and orientation data improves localization accuracy significantly compared to basic signal-only methods. Benefits include enhanced user convenience, better space utilization, and potential integration with services like event notifications or emergency alerts.
