Project Title
Aesthetic Fault Detection in Injection Molded Parts
Description
An automated inspection system that uses one camera to fully inspect large plastic parts for scratches and defects, solving a problem that typically requires multiple expensive cameras. By moving both the part and the camera in a coordinated way, we capture every angle with a single sensor, then train our AI on only good parts to spot flaws. Tested on real factory parts, it caught 100% of defects with zero missed items, running in under 3 minutes per part. The key innovation? Smart mechanical design lets one camera do the work of many, making high-quality inspection affordable and practical for real manufacturing lines.
