Final Year Project

Project Title

Chavez - An AI powered ASD Screening and progress tracking tool

Description

Chavez, an AI-powered screening and progress tracking tool is designed to identify early signs of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in children aged 3-8. The tool integrates the M-CHAT-R questionnaire, four gamified assessments, and an audio analysis module to evaluate cognitive, behavioral, motor, and speech development. The games assess key ASD markers such as visual attention, motor coordination, emotional recognition, and speech clarity using eye-tracking and speech analysis technologies. Each session generates an AI-driven diagnostic report with explanations, ASD likelihood, and personalized recommendations. Sessions are repeated quarterly to monitor developmental progress over time. Findings indicate that engaging, game-based assessments can offer meaningful insights into early ASD traits while maintaining a child-friendly, low-stress environment. This approach enhances accessibility, objectivity, and continuity in autism screening and care.
