What is Physical Fitness and Why is it important for me?

Physical fitness is the ability of a person to carry out tasks without undue fatigue. The ability to accomplish the requirements of daily living requires muscular strength, power, endurance, flexibility and cardio-respiratory fitness.
People who are physically fit are also healthier. There are numerous health advantages to physical fitness. Regular exercise and physical activity promotes strong muscles and bones. It improves respiratory, cardiovascular health, and muscular strength and endurance. Staying active can also help you maintain a healthy weight, reduce your risk for type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and reduce your risk for some cancers.

Besides physical benefits, physical exercises impact positively yon brain health. Several research studies have explored that regular exercises improves memory, learning and thinking capacity of brain. Regular exercises stimulate the release of chemicals in the brain that affect the health of brain cells, the growth of new blood vessels in the brain, and even the abundance and survival of new brain cells.

HU Gyms – A Place to Start Your Journey of Fitness

HU has two well equipped Gyms for students. One is exclusively for females. Both the gyms are supervised by trained and qualified staff. HY gyms have weight training equipment, free weights area and cardiovascular machines. Students can develop their own fitness goals for increasing strength, building muscles, enhancing endurance and fat loss.

All students can apply to become the member of HU Gym and Swimming pool. You just need to fill in the form.

Develop Individual Fitness Plan

Gym facilitators help the students in developing individual fitness plan as per their fitness goals. Students can use the gym to keep themselves health and fit.

Attend Special Fitness Programs

Our Gym staff offers fitness programs as well to help students in acquiring new understanding and skills to keep them fit. The programs engage students in Yoga, Zumba, basic fitness program and advance fitness programs.
