AI-Powered Predictive Maintenance System for K-Electric
Description
My Final Year Project focuses on Predictive Fault Management for Karachi’s power distribution networks, aimed at shifting operations from reactive repairs to proactive maintenance. The system features a machine learning solution designed to predict fault types and restoration times. A key innovation involves integrating non-technical loss data, such as electricity theft, alongside weather and traffic variables to accurately model infrastructure stress. Supported by an automated data pipeline using Feast and GitHub Actions, this system is built to optimize resource allocation, significantly reduce operational downtime, and provide data-driven intelligence for a critical metropolis.
