Karavaan: A Community Engagement and Social Impact Platform
Description
Karavaan is a mobile platform designed to connect volunteers, donors, and community organizations in a single digital space. The project addresses the fragmentation of social initiatives across platforms like WhatsApp and social media, which makes it difficult to discover events, coordinate volunteers, and track fundraising efforts. The system enables community creation, event management with RSVP tracking, fundraiser listings, and real-time messaging. It integrates Google OAuth for authentication, Firebase notifications for alerts, and recommendation algorithms to personalize content for users. By consolidating these features into one platform, Karavaan aims to improve transparency, coordination, and participation in social impact initiatives across Pakistan.
