Final Year Project
Project Title
Lightweight Cryptographic VPN Framework for Secure IoT Communication
Description
This project focuses on designing and implementing a modular, lightweight cryptographic framework for secure communication in resource-constrained IoT devices. It aims to evaluate and compare efficient encryption algorithms such as ASCON, TinyAES, and SPECK, with an emphasis on performance, energy consumption, and security. The system is implemented on ESP32-based devices and integrates with cloud platforms like AWS for real-time data transmission and control. Through benchmarking metrics such as latency, CPU usage, and memory footprint, the project identifies optimal configurations for practical deployment. The outcome contributes to building scalable, low-overhead, and secure IoT systems, addressing real-world challenges in device-level security and communication efficiency.
