Final Year Project

Project Title

Family Planning and Entertainment Education in Pakistan

Description

The research aims to investigate the impact of mass media on contraceptive use in Pakistan. The data of ever-married women from the Pakistan Demographic Survey (DHS) was used to carry out the study. To identify trends or patterns between mass media and contraceptive use, data from three years (2007, 2012, 2017) was analyzed. In Pakistan, traditional and modern methods of birth control are commonly used. Therefore, two separate regressions were performed to determine the impact of mass media on traditional and modern methods of contraceptives. The findings suggest that mass media decreases the probability of using traditional methods of contraceptives, but its impact on modern contraceptives is not significant.
