Final Year Project

Project Title

How Power Works through Civil Society

Description

The paper aims to explore the concept of power and civil society by examining the perspectives of three scholars, namely Antonio Gramsci, Ibn Khaldun, and Robert Putnam. Specifically, the paper aims to understand how power operates within civil society by considering the notions of hegemony, group feeling, and social capital. The paper argues that social capital serves as the primary conduit through which power moves within civil society. Furthermore, the production of social capital is contingent upon the existence of civil society.
