Final Year Project

Project Title

DYSIGN - AI Screener for Learning Difficulties

Description

An EdTech research project aimed at addressing the difficulties faced by approximately 15% of the population, specifically neurotypical children and those with learning disabilities (LDs). We developed a tool that uses handwriting samples to screen for symptoms and repeating patterns associated with LDs. Additionally, we conducted design research to create a web app that caters to Dyslexic children. The project encompassed various sub-domains such as data collection, data engineering, model training, and design research. The overarching goal of this project was to initiate a conversation about the challenges faced by a significant portion of the population and provide an intervention that guides individuals towards the right tools and professionals for support.
