Description

Years of violence had led to an abandonment of public spaces in Karachi, and the recent revival is restricted to private, commercial spaces accessed mostly by privileged citizens. My thesis explores activities associated with play in low-income communities, and creation of inclusive and healthy public spaces in an otherwise stressful urban environment.
