Final Year Project

Project Title

Reshaping Identities: Islamization and Pakistan’s Religious Minorities

Description

My final year project focuses on religious minority groups of Pakistan and more specifically, how the identities of these groups were reshaped completely during Zia ul Haq’s Islamization regime from 1977 to 1988. In my research, I have deconstructed the concept of minorities and their place in predominantly Islamic democratic states by keeping Zia ul Haq’s governance and laws as my primary source of analysis.
