Final Year Project

Project Title

Luminosity Smarter Theatre

Description

This project aims to design a product that is able to replace the current lighting system in the Pakistani Theatre industry. As of now the lighting system is controlled by people, which increases the number of glitches and errors in the system. The product is an LED matrix, a spotlight cum ambient lighting system that is automated, and is able to locate the person on the stage to follow them accordingly. Each LED is mapped to a specific spotlight. This LED matrix spotlight is different from the conventional halogen lamp; it consumes less energy and is environmentally friendly. Using the algorithms of transitioning of light, multiple LEDs form a beam that simulate the same way as the traditional lights, and map it according to the location so the person is never out of the spotlight. The LED matrix consists of two types to serve as a spotlight and ambient light. Along the way, we also automated the sound system by inculcating proximity sensors, made out of bare conductive electric paint.
