Project Title
Self-Examination Rape Kit
Description
In a study conducted on the medico-legal assessment of sexual assault victims in Lahore, it was found that in a sample of 123 cases of rape, 95% of the victims reported for examination after a passage of more than 72 hours while only 5% were examined in the first 24 hours. My study aims to encourage rape victims to get medically examined by building awareness regarding the importance of medical testing post-rape trauma through a self-examination rape kit that allows victims to safely collect evidence on their own terms.
