Final Year Project

Project Title

SwiftBot: Autonomous Courier for Indoor Deliveries

Description

This project involves the implementation of a delivery service that uses a mobile app to allow users to get items delivered within indoor and closed campus spaces such as universities, offices and hospitals. The robot is based on the ROS (Robot Operating System) meta operating system and embedded Raspberry Pi and Arduino platforms which communicate with a central server for localization, mapping and obstacle avoidance computations as well as coordinating deliveries. The goal is to automate the delivery process for physical items in closed campus spaces for enhanced convenience and to reduce the chances of error in physical handling and delivery of items.
