Final Year Project

Project Title

Luminosity Smart Theatre

Description

Luminosity is an autonomous theatrical lighting and sound system which aims to replace the current systems in Pakistani theatres. Luminosity consists of a matrix of adjustable LED spotlights which map the entire theatrical space along with RGB ambient lights. The colour of the ambient lights can be controlled using an application on an Android mobile device by the light operator. Our product aims to track the movements of the performer and shine the spotlight accordingly using a sensing mechanism i.e. pressure switches embedded on the floor of the theatrical set. Luminosity controls the effect of transition between each spotlight using multiple LEDs to create an impact of a moving spot. Luminosity also automates sound triggers which are often delayed or forgotten by the sound operator. Electric paint sensors will be painted on the floor which would trigger sounds upon touch and proximity. (Group Project)
