Final Year Project

Project Title

InstaWeight - Autonomous Weight Estimation System of Cattle

Description

Worked on a project in a collaboration with Folio3 to estimate the weight of cattle through an autonomous process using deep learning and machine learning. It also involves the development of admin panel as web client and a mobile application to capture the images of cattle. The purpose of this project is to automate the process of estimating the weight of cattle. Since, weight is the most important factor in the Livestock business but keeping track of the weight on a daily basis is the most tedious task and requires a lot of manhandling and is time consuming. The project has three components, the core, mobile client and web client. The core component is responsible to detect the features of the animal from the image to estimate/predict the weight of the animal. This core component has been developed using machine learning and image processing algorithms. (Group Project)
