Hamdard - A Pregnancy Companion

Description

Talking openly about health issues regarding pregnancy, menstruation, and other sexual and reproductive health topics is considered taboo in Pakistan, due to which women suffer physically and mentally. Hamdard is a contextual AI assistant built on the RASA framework and deployed on the MEAN stack web application. Hamdard acts as a personal companion, answering maternity-related questions in Urdu using Natural Language Processing (NLP), predicting complications in pregnancy through Bayesian predictive modeling, finding nearest maternity clinics and providing emotional support through weekly messages. Hence, Hamdard aims at providing women support at multiple levels throughout their nine months of pregnancy. Through conversations with Hamdard, women will be able to know what to expect during pregnancy and labor, which will help them make educated decisions about their well-being.
