Habib University, in collaboration with QAA-HEC, is set to host the Higher Education Commission’s (HEC) Progress Review Meeting for the first time, marking a significant milestone in the University’s growing national engagement with higher education leadership.
The Progress Review Meeting will convene HEC leadership, vice-chancellors, Director QEC’s and Institutional Quality Circle of nearly 50 public and private universities across Sindh and Balochistan.
The annual gathering underscores HEC’s continued commitment to improve and uphold quality across Pakistan’s higher education landscape.
The event will formally commence with a welcome session hosted by Habib University, during which the University will present its mission, vision, and values to senior leadership from universities across the country. This session will situate Habib University’s educational philosophy and institutional purpose within the broader national conversation on the future of higher learning.
Spread over three days, the Meeting will feature a series of structured sessions, each designed to address specific aspects of quality assurance, including capacity building, preparations before implementation, institutional progress, and regulatory alignment.
The Progress Review Meeting will conclude on February 7, 2026, with a closing ceremony and the distribution of certificates to participating university representatives.
